AlchemyOrb is a free browser-based arcade game. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a player.

1. Analytics

We intend to use Matomo — a self-hosted, open-source analytics platform operated directly by 1978.io on our own servers — to understand how the game is used. Your data is never shared with, or sold to, third-party analytics companies. When enabled, Matomo runs in fully cookieless mode (disableCookies + setDoNotTrack): no analytics cookie is ever set, and your visit cannot be linked to future visits. Analytics is not yet active on this site.

2. Local Storage (Game Saves)

AlchemyOrb may save a small amount of game state (progress, money, loadout) to your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device — it is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site settings.

3. Advertising & Cookie Consent

AlchemyOrb includes advertisement slots in its layout. No ads are currently served — the slots show a placeholder only while our ad account is in review. Once advertising is enabled, third-party ad networks (Google AdSense) may set their own cookies to keep ads relevant, subject to their own privacy policies.

Because ad cookies are non-essential, we ask for your consent first: a banner lets you Accept or Decline, and your choice is stored locally on your device. No ad cookies are set unless you accept. Analytics remains cookieless regardless of your choice.

4. No Accounts — No Personal Data

AlchemyOrb requires no registration, login, or email address. We do not collect names, emails, or any directly identifying personal information beyond what is described in the analytics section above.

6. Changes to This Policy
